The ACTMalaria Information Resource Center aims to make information resources accessible to its users. Users need not sign-in to browse the database. Its purpose is to facilitate a venue where countries affected by malaria and other mosquito-born diseases can share information and best practices on how to address this common problem. It also aims to provide a source for reliable and timely information.
The database is designed to compile a bibliographic listing of all materials related to malaria and other mosquito-born diseases. It will provide users information on what is available and how to access it. The primary access point is the original source of the material. The database will list information on how to avail of the material from its source of origin. If for example the material is downloadable from official site of the country's ministry of health website then the database will provide the link to that website.
If individuals or institutions would like to share their resources but they do not have websites to do so then they may opt to submit the material to the Resource Center whether in soft or hard copy and the RC will provide access to that. Provided that the said institution or individual will clearly state in a document that they agree to share the information online (the electronic form will be provided by the RC through the site itself or through email.)
